Life is all about change and evolution. No one is the same person they were yesterday, never mind 10 years ago. Actors are no exception to this - if anything, they seem to change more drastically than average people. Many performers experience incredible glow-ups throughout their careers - sometimes due to reaching physical maturity, changing up the type of roles they want to attract, or simply because they want to mix up their looks. These changes can create a strong impression on the public - Harry Potter fans surely remember when Neville suddenly became a heartthrob, and Parks and Rec viewers certainly noticed when Andy's physique changed seemingly overnight (thanks to Chris Pratt preparing for his MCU debut).
Take a look at several actors who underwent physical transformations that had everyone doing double takes. Examine the before and after images and vote up the most head-turning glow-ups.

Before: Ethan Suplee made a name for himself playing memorable supporting characters in productions such as Mallrats and The Butterfly Effect. He showcased his diversity as a character actor, with most viewers being able to recognize him immediately even if they didn't always know his name off the bat.
After: Suplee underwent a major body transformation as he lost hundreds of pounds and embarked on a fitness journey. Nowadays, he's practically unrecognizable from his earlier roles.

Before: Initially the comic relief of the Harry Potter film series, Matthew Lewis played Neville Longbottom as a klutzy but well-meaning character who becomes a hero by the end of the story. He had a few additions to his look, though, including false teeth, big shoes, and accessories to make his ears stick out more.
After: By removing Neville's accessories and through the magic of growing up, Lewis now looks like a far cry from the character he portrayed as a child. In fact, he's something of a heartthrob, as viewers can see in his more recent work, like All Creatures Great & Small.
Great glow-up?Before: Slumdog Millionaire turned Dev Patel into a superstar. The then-18-year-old Patel played the role of the sympathetic Jamal Malik on screen. What truly connected the audience with Malik is that he looked young and vulnerable, which was essential for the part.
After: As Patel's career evolved, so, too, did his appearance. He shed the boyish looks by growing out his hair and adding facial hair. However, he also underwent a physical transformation, putting on muscle and getting lean and mean to catapult himself into action-centric roles such as his leading turn in Monkey Man.
Great glow-up?Before: Chris Pratt started his career playing lovable goofs or everyday men in comedies, as illustrated by his performance as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation. He didn't need to look like a Greek god, since his characters were all about personality.
After: Pratt evolved from a comedy actor to an action star, and with it came a new physical regime and diet. He put in the work to put on some serious muscle to become Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, establishing himself as a new type of chiseled, charismatic franchise leader.
Great glow-up?Before: We're the Millers proved to be Will Poulter's breakout role as he played 18-year-old Kenny Rossmore. Poulter nailed the part of the socially awkward and nerdy teen to a T, making many fans wonder if he'd be typecast in these roles for the rest of his career.
After: To play Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Poulter underwent a radical physical transformation. Of course, he was 10 years older than he was in We're the Millers, but he also worked with a team to eat right and bulk up in an effort to look like a superhero on screen. Needless to say, his efforts and hard work paid off in the end.

Before: In Skins, Nicholas Hoult's Tony Stonem looks like any other teen from the early 2000s. With an era-appropriate haircut (long live the age of emo!) and comfortable clothing, he comes across as an average British lad hanging around the park and messing about with his pals.
After: Audiences have watched Hoult grow from a child in About a Boy to a teen in Skins to an adult in movies like Tolkien and The Menu. There's no secret to his glow-up apart from Father Time, as he moves through the different stages of life and gets a haircut or two (or boasts a chrome dome in Mad Max: Fury Road).
