The 4th generation of K-pop gave fans a handful of amazing groups, concepts, and music, and 5th generation is proving to be just as good. The 5th generation of K-pop began in early 2023 and almost instantly showed signs of being one of the best generations the industry has seen.

Not only did 2023 start of strong with many impressive releases, but there were multiple groundbreaking K-pop debuts that set the scene for what's to come from this generation. Groups like ZEROBASEONE, tripleS, and xikers became early pioneers of their generation. But later additions like PLAVE and ILLIT have made their own name both as 5th generation groups and internationally beloved artists.
