Not to be outdone by the music gurus at Rolling Stone and their controversial lists that always seem to have audiophiles up in arms, Apple Music has announced their selections for the best albums of all time - and the list is creating a lot of conversation.Â
Lauryn Hill's only solo effort, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, nabbed the top spot, beating out usual top spot placements such as Michael Jackson's Thriller (which came in at #2), and The Beatles's Abbey Road (holding court at the #3 spot). Taylor Swift's 1989 beat out the Fab Four's Revolver, David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, and Miles Davis's Kind of Blue.Â
Needless to say, the list is creating quite a bit of chatter as influential albums and important discs seem to take a backseat to the artists they influenced, while newer artists overtake music legends in placement.
Do you agree with Apple Music's list of the best 100 albums of all time? Now is your change to rerank the ones you think deserve to be on top. Vote up the albums you marked as your favorites; vote down the discs you find a bit too overhyped.Â
