Which Famous Person Should AI Sound Like?

What should AI sound like? Not like Scarlett Johansson, apparently. After rolling out a virtual assistant with a voice that sounded a lot like Johansson, who voiced the artificially intelligent ladyfriend in the 2013 film Her, OpenAI pretty much immediately rolled the voice, known as “Sky,” right back. Turns out Johansson had declined OpenAI's offer to license her voice twice, so the virtual assistant was made to sound “eerily similar” to the erstwhile Black Widow and two-time Oscar nominee.

So that was yet another surreal, funhouse mirror incident on this hallucinatory digital frontier, but it really makes you think: what would your AI personal assistant sound like? Let's assume that licensing and ethics aren't issues here, so any famous voice could pipe right into your headphones. Who would your AI sidekick sound like? Would it have the smooth baritone of James Earl Jones or the one-of-a-kind pitch of Fran Drescher? 

It's a fabulous modern age of not-at-all-terrifying tech gimmickry, so why not have fun by giving an AI virtual assistant a fun voice?
