12 Shows We Gave Up On In 2024 - And Why
Vote up the shows that finally proved to be too much for you to watch in 2024.
When a new season of your favorite show is just around the corner, it's a bit exciting. Well, it can be.
Almost as often, the fresh episodes lack the same intrigue and feel as the seasons you remember and rewatch. Maybe it's really hard to get back into the characters or the story. It's possible the end of one season was full of promises that never show up in the new season. Or, as is often the case, the show tries too hard and goes into purely ridiculous territory.
Regardless, these are the shows that turned in seasons that risk making fans call it quits in 2024.

Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver StarkWHY WE GAVE UP: It happens a lot with primetime dramas - they become soap opera-ish, ridiculous, and too much to take. 9-1-1 hit this point before season eight even started when it promised a swarm of bees taking over the streets of Los Angeles.

WHY WE GAVE UP: As the second season of Ryan Murphy's Monsters, the story presented about Lyle and Erik Menendez was beyond over-the-top, even for Murphy. Overdramatized to the point of being insulting, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story may signal that Murphy has finally gone too far.

WHY WE GAVE UP: Each year, The Simpsons looks like it might have some new and innovative ideas. Unfortunately, it's become about how they comment on society while bringing in the newest celebrities to provide the voices to short-lived characters.
